IIN Frontiers in Nanotechnology Seminar Series – Nancy Gray
Nancy Ryan Gray
President and Chief Executive Officer
Gordon Research Conferences
The Keys to Success…are Somewhere at the Bottom of My Purse
Abstract
This presentation highlights the top twelve lessons Gray has learned during her circuitous career path from industrial research at a Fortune 500 company to executive leadership in non-profit organizations. These lessons involve how to seek and respond to performace feedback, how to create opportunities for advancement, how to establish a work/family balance, and why “fish are smart and birds are stupid.”
In addition to sharing the “things I know now” but “wish I’d known then,” the presentation highlights ongoing efforts to advance culture change at the frontiers of science through the launch of the Gordon Research Conferences’ newest program, “The GRC Power Hour.”
