Nathan Gianneschi to join Northwestern

We are very pleased to announce that Nathan C. Gianneschi, a world-class nanomaterials researcher, will join Northwestern University as the Jacob & Rosaline Cohn Professor of Chemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering.
Gianneschi, currently the Teddy Traylor Faculty Scholar and Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, NanoEngineering, at the University of California, San Diego, focuses on developing multifunctional nanomaterials for biomedical applications. His research spans multiple disciplines, including: chemistry, biomedical engineering, material science, and medicine, and it has the potential to transform the field of targeted drug delivery.
At Northwestern, Gianneschi will be part of the International Institute for Nanotechnology and the Ronald and JoAnne Willens Nano Oncology Center, housed in a new wing of the Technological Institute on the Northwestern Evanston campus. He will also have laboratories in the Louis A. Simpson and Kimberly K. Querrey Biomedical Research Center on Northwestern’s Chicago campus.
