Assistant Director for Research Administration
Pam joined the IIN staff in August, 2011 and efficiently assumed responsibility for financial management of Professor Mirkin’s grant portfolio, coordination of grant proposals, and support of the 60+ researchers encompassing payroll and effort functions, purchasing support, and lab and facilities management. With such a variety and volume of tasks, Pam’s outstanding organizational skills, bachelor’s degree in Finance, and an MBA in Accountancy from DePaul University are particularly important. She also brings a diverse background in commercial credit/lending, corporate accounting and budgets, real estate appraisal, and small business ownership to the table. Pam and her husband, Fred, have two sons. Andrew is a teacher in Chicago, and Zachary is working at U.S. News & World Report in Washington, DC. When not working, Pam likes spending time with family and friends, and reading.
